As the design consultant for Computershare Communications Services (CCS) I was responsible for managing one of its vendors for the Computershare Investor Services (CIS) suit of tools. CIS has many tools and products in the market for investors to use for a range of activities from help with listing companies, manage registries, delivering corporate actions, managing employee equity plans or managing meetings and votes.
Republicast is a way to allow companies to share sensitive documents with shareholders. Customer expectations have changed over time and with the advent of smart phones and tablet devices a responsive product is imperative to maintain market share. As product owner for Republicast I embarked on an upgrade to the product to take it to being mobile and responsive. It fell to me to define the requirements as well as layout a scope of works for the vendor to adhere to and a project plan to deliver the product with as minimal impact on production as possible. This involved a number of rounds of requirements gathering as well as UAT testing using Jira.
Ultimately releasing the product and ensuring stakeholder by-in for the launch. Working with the team at Reach and making improvements based on my understanding of mobile first design allowed us to introduce a significant improvement with no loss of time to the business or push back from
